Only System Administrators and Registrars may configure Officiating categories.
To create or manage Officiating categories, proceed to Setup / Officials.
Officiating categories are a simple ordered hierarchy your organization will use to track the progress an Official has made. Once configured, your organization's list of categories will be sorted from a junior to senior level of achievement.
To edit an officiating category, double click the field within the data entry grid.
To control the order of the categories, simply drag the gripper icon of a category above or below another category.

A simple example of Officiating categories may be like the following:
- Level One
- Level Two
- Level Three
- Level Four
- Level Five
An official who has completed "Level Three" and "Level Four" training will be considered "Level Four" since "Level Four" comes after "Level Three".

To create or manage Observation categories, proceed to Setup / Officials.
Observation categories represent the history an official may go through for each Officiating category. Once configured, your organization's list will contain all of the activities you need to track per official.
A simple example of Observation categories may be like the following (order is not important)
- Deck evaluation
- Instructed
- Course taken
- Certified
