Overview:
This setting controls when session dues or payment schedule dues are charged during registration based on a specified date. The date you select determines if the fee will be charged immediately upon registration or simply become a billable due.
Where to Configure:
- In the Roster setup within each Session of your schedule, locate the new field titled "Charge Session or Payment Schedule from".
- Enter the earliest date from which session or scheduled payment fees should be charged at registration.
How It Works:
- Session Pricing: If a registrant’s registration date falls on or after the specified date, the session fee will be included in their immediate registration charges.
- Payment Schedule with “Include Prior Payments”: If this option is enabled, all scheduled payments due on or after the selected date will be included in the registration charge.
Important Notes:
- Session Pricing: This field applies only when the fee structure of the roster in the session is set to Sessional or Payment Schedule.
- Payment Schedule: The “Include Prior Payments” option must be checked for previous payments to be included.
- Date Selection Use Case: Setting a specific “Charge Session or Payment Schedule from” date can help ensure that fees are not collected before a new fiscal year begins. This is useful if your organization wants to avoid collecting revenue or incurring charges prematurely in the prior fiscal period.
This configuration allows you to control billing more precisely based on when a registration takes place, ensuring that session or scheduled dues are billed as intended.
