Fees in Pool Queue are used to apply additional charges or discounts during registration.
These are typically one-time or per-season items such as:
- Registration fees
- Insurance fees
- Initiation fees
- Volunteer or fundraising fees
- Account or returning member discounts
Where to Manage Fees
Fees are configured in the Admin area under Setup → Registration.
How Fees Work
Fees are applied automatically when a member is registered. Depending on how the fee is set up, it may apply:
- Per member (once per season)
- Per account (once per season)
- Per registration
- As a fixed amount or percentage
- As a discount instead of a charge
Some fees are designed to apply only once within a season, even if a member or account has multiple registrations.
For example:
- A member fee (such as insurance) is only billed once per member per season
- An account fee is only billed once per account per season
This prevents duplicate charges when members register in multiple rosters during the same season.
Fees vs. Billing
It’s important to understand that fees are separate from your main billing setup.
- Fees → one-time charges or adjustments applied during registration
- Billing → the ongoing cost (monthly, session-based, or custom schedules)
For example:
- A monthly training fee is part of billing
- A registration or insurance fee is a fee
Types of Fees
Pool Queue supports a variety of fee types, including:
- Member fees – applied once per member per season
- Account fees – applied once per account per season
- Registration fees – applied each time a member registers
- Monthly add-on fees – additional recurring charges alongside billing
- Discounts – such as family or current member discounts
When to Use Fees
Use fees when you need to:
- Add one-time or seasonal charges during registration
- Apply fees once per member or account, even with multiple registrations
- Apply charges each time a member registers
- Offer discounts based on family size or returning members
- Handle non-training costs separate from your main billing structure
