Before launching your fundraising campaign to the public, take a few minutes to ensure everything is configured correctly. This checklist will help you verify that your campaign looks professional, includes the correct members, and is ready to accept donations.
Admin Configuration Checklist
Go to Admin Panel > Fundraising > Campaigns and confirm the following:
Campaign Settings
- Campaign Name is correct and clearly identifies the fundraiser.
- Campaign Description clearly explains the purpose or goal.
- Start Date / End Date are accurate.
- Visible Date is set appropriately (so it doesn't display too early or too late).
- Goal Amount is set if you're tracking overall progress (optional).
- Fundraising Credit % is set correctly (e.g., 100% if you want full credit toward fundraising obligations).
- Product/Service selected is appropriate
- Preset Donation Amounts are listed and make sense for your audience.
- Custom Amount entry is enabled/disabled based on your preference (enter an asterisk "*" as a donation amount).
- Allow “Donate to Campaign Only” is set appropriately (enabled if general donations are allowed).
Members Tab Review
Open the Members tab in the campaign admin view:
- All expected members are listed.
- Member fundraising goals are accurate.
Tip: Use the search, sort, and filter tools in the admin grid to spot errors or omissions.
Public Page Review
Visit your public campaign page. A link to the page is provided on the General tab of the Campaign.
- Campaign name, description, appear properly.
- Countdown timer (if the campaign hasn’t started) displays correctly.
- Top Fundraisers section looks accurate (if enabled).
- Recent Donations section behaves as expected (anonymized where appropriate).
- “Donate to Campaign” button appears (if enabled).
You may also navigate to a sample member donation page (using their unique link) to check:
- Personal message and thank-you message (if entered) are appropriate.
- Goal progress bar displays correctly.
- Donation form validates required fields and behaves correctly.
Final Steps Before Launch
- Remove any placeholder names or messages used during setup.
- Lock personal goals (optional) to prevent members from changing them.
- Notify members to begin sharing their personal donation links.
- Consider previewing the campaign to internal staff before public promotion.
