Pool Queue supports detailed swim meet entry pricing, allowing administrators to assign specific pricing for each event in a meet. This feature is ideal for clubs that need granular control over entry fees, such as differentiating between preliminaries and finals for the same event.
Overview of Pricing Modes
In the [Fees] section of an event, found on the [Summary] tab, you can select between two pricing modes:
- Simple: Retains the original behavior of a uniform price per individual event, per distance, or per relay event.
- Price per event: Enables detailed pricing for each event in the meet.
When Price per event is selected, a command titled Edit Event Pricing becomes visible. Clicking this command opens a dialog that lists all events in the meet and allows fee overrides for each event.
Access Permissions
The ability to modify pricing is restricted to users with the following roles:
- Administrator
- Senior Coach
- Accounting
Editing Event Pricing
When you launch the Edit Event Pricing dialog, you will see a table listing all of the events.
Fee Override: Use this column to specify a custom price for an event. If a value is entered here, Pool Queue will use this price when creating dues or generating reports. If left blank, the system will use the default Fee from the event file.
The dialog includes filters in each column, allowing you to narrow down the list of events based on specific criteria such as session, gender, or distance.
Impact on Billing and Reporting
This feature affects the following:
- Dues Creation: When using the [Create Dues] command on the [Dues] tab, the overridden prices will be used.
- Entry Fees Report: The report will reflect the overridden prices where applicable.
Pricing for Relay Events
Relay events follow the same pricing behavior under the Price per event mode. The fee specified (default or overridden) will be divided by 4 and billed to each member.
Fallback Logic for Fees
If no override is provided for an event, Pool Queue will default to using the Fee value set in the event file.
